Is anyone else getting worried about the likelihood of a slow-down/recession in the next 3-9 months? I am a self-funded searcher and debating whether to temporarily go back to full-time contract consulting to increase my savings and hopefully get clarity on what the economy will look like by end of the calendar year. Above all, I would like to avoid buying something only to have cash flow fall of a cliff...

I'll reference my comment in another post: Risk and opportunity are flip sides of the same coin. There will be plenty of opportunities out there, you just need to factor in the macro environment and how this blends with your skills and resources.

It's a complete waste of time to stay up all night worrying about these topics. Good deals are made no matter what the external or internal circumstances, or you name it. Learn how successful and profitable dealmakers source and do deals; don't waste time listening to people trying to find deals who don't complete worthwhile deals. Business school thinking needs to be left at business school.
