I'm looking at an opportunity to acquire a steel service center. Company today provides minimal service but carries relevant inventory for customers within a defined geography and specific industries. I'd like to connect with someone here with relevant experience in the sector who may be able to help from a diligence standpoint. Please DM me to discuss. Thanks.

I have bought four companies that rely on steel service centers for the majority of our material spend. I have thought about buying one as a vertical integration play and would be happy to talk through from a customer viewpoint if you are interested. I know many of the service centers had record profits last year due to the sharp steel increase so I would be careful with valuation. redacted

We are working with a steel service center on the sell-side right now so hopefully i can add some value - please reach out via email if you would like to connect. A good public resource to read up on is Russell Metal's annual reports, they detail their last few transactions which were single and multi-location steel service centers. redacted
