What have people found has a higher response rate when emailing owners, personal emails (gmail, aol, yahoo) or business emails redacted I imagine the personal emails have less of a firewall, but sometimes they can be stale/no longer used.

I would recommend your own domain/email. I use both my name (AllstonMoore.com) and R12capital.com for emails etc. I think using a free email like Gmail or Yahoo looks a bit amateurish, IMO.We can help you set it up, if you want.
I have a hosting/website company. If you and perhaps others are interested, I could put together a basic package with a website, email, domain etc.

Given the price of owning a domain, and the prevalence of services out there that let you host for extremely competitive fees, having your own domain for email at a minimum sets the tone for professionalism.
