Advisory boards can make or break your organisation. We had official boards, and unofficial. Always good to check the contracts and scope of influence. For us, nr 1 is a good personal match. And then the other things come in. What does a board member need and want. Want does the company need. What do you need. I like boards asking the questions you dont ask yourself because its your blind spot or an old hurt for example. Expertise and network are also very welcome. I like very different secotrs involved as well, its not very common, but it has been very helping to learn from boards that origonated from other sectors.

LinkedIn. I assume you are trying Dan or Bruce' work model remotely. Then follow their remote advice. Search on linkedin. A lot of people say "I have found the best board" I define best as who I am. If I have been at the bottom of the pool for my entire life everyone else will be best for me. So the question is who you are. If you are at the bottom and starting up expect bottom boa, if you are at the top then you wont be asking here where to find boa. if you are in the middle all answers are here on the comments
