I am currently looking at a company in southern California. The company provides a full suite of on-demand and scheduled delivery services. In operation for 35 years, it has a fleet of over 8 vehicles and employs 25 staff members and additional contractors who supply their own trucks and trailers as needed.

I would like to get on a 30-minute Zoom call with someone who understands the industry well to help me out with how to value the business, what the red flags are, and what to ask and look for.

Do you live in the area? I'm in Phoenix and all our delays in Shipping come out of LA. Hot shot or on demand in LA, could be a much more limited market due to traffic. Inland empire has a ton of shipping, but I'd say twice a week our runs from there are delayed, and sometimes upwards a 3x normal timing. Also to Phoenix it is a rough run on a truck. High temperatures coupled with some elevation changes can make that taxing on equipment. You also will have a lot of competition, so with out any dedicated you could struggle.
