About Gnaisse Capital
Gnaisse is a search fund, a form of private equity fund with the objective of searching for, acquiring, operating and growing a private business in Brazil with an enterprise value of BRL 50-150mm. Chandler Payne, the managing principal, seeks a motivated professional to join the team on a part-time basis beginning mid-July###-###-#### This professional will be intricately involved in the deal sourcing and acquisition processes and must be excited to contribute proactively to and gain experience in these processes as well as possess excellent communication skills in both Portuguese and English. The ideal professional is passionate about private investment in Brazil and Latin America, delivers high-quality, detail-oriented work, and has prior exposure to finance.
Internship Overview
Schedule. Start date July 21st, ###-###-#### hours/week. Depending on the applicant’s university calendar, possibility of full-time may be extended during winter/summer 2025/2026.
Location. Hybrid/São Paulo.

Roles/Responsibilities
Industry Research. Identify attractive industries and value-creation opportunities within those industries. Research and analyze potential targets. Monitor macro/megatrends that may inform these investment theses.
Deal Sourcing. Organize/initiate target outreach and oversee the deal pipeline. Engage with business owners, brokers, and other intermediaries.
Deal Management. Build financial models to assess opportunities. Perform and oversee comprehensive due diligence (financial, operational, sales, etc.). Draft investment memos for potential acquisitions. Contribute to weekly investment committee meetings.
Investor Relations. Develop investor materials (e.g., deal and fundraising PowerPoints) and communications templates (e.g., quarterly updates).
Operations. Improve internal processes and standards and support future recruitment.
