The owners of an online automotive printer specializing in OEM manuals are looking to retire so they can travel and enjoy their grandkids. They do it all. They print and sell manuals from Ford, GM and Chrysler online. They also sell manuals for motorcycles, boats, and trucks. They have two eCommerce sites - one consumer and one B2B - in addition to selling their books on Amazon, EBay, Walmart, and Etsy. The eCommerce sites have been around since###-###-#### They also scan and reproduce old manuals that are out of print so they can be resold. They have relationships with Car Parts retailers, OEM manufacturers, and car clubs who love their products. In order to print the OEM manuals, it requires a license from the manufacturer. Ford, GM and Chrysler don’t issue licensing deals to printers anymore. The only way you can get one is to buy a printer with the licenses and have the manufacturers agree to transfer the licenses to the new owner. Imagine needing a parts manual for a Ford Model T. Getting your hands on an original would be tough. This company finds those rare copies and then has employees who scan and convert the old manuals into digital masters that can then be printed and packaged to sell to interested consumers. They average adding 1 book per day to their catalog and have over 1400 books currently available. Their version of digital products are selling CDs and USBs with their manuals on them. None of the books are available online yet. This is where I want to come in and grow the business. A bit about me. I’m an inventor and award-winning designer by trade. I’ve spent 20 years designing for print, digital, web, applications, interior, and brands. I’ve generated over $50M in business value through increasing revenue, decreasing costs, and IP creation in the telecom and institutional banking industries. Early in my career I ran a commercial printing press for a mega church in Idaho. With AI disrupting digital design and tech, I’ve realized that sticking around in the corporate grind isn’t for me. So I’m looking for design-related and service small businesses with an SDE from $450K to $2M to buy, transform and scale in the Austin, TX, Dallas Fort Worth, TX, Waco, TX and Houston, TX areas. Finding that first anchor business is important. I know this automotive printer opportunity is a great fit for my skills and expertise. With tons of growth opportunity available by digitizing their catalog and offering a 2 tier membership program, this business has the potential to 3x-6x over the next 5 years. If you are an investor, and this is interests you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can reach me at redacted or###-###-#### Please text me first before you call. I get lots of spam calls, so I don’t typically pick up a call from a number I don’t know. If you text me first and I reply, then you minimize the likelihood we will play phone tag. Unless that’s your thing. 🫠
