69 - Self-Funded Search vs. Traditional Search Funds
Today's episode is a rebroadcast of a live recording done last week. You've probably heard me promoting it over the last few episodes. Acquiring Minds staged a debate about the merits of self-funded search versus traditional search funds, with two passionate advocates for each model, Robert Graham and Greg Geronemus. And when I say passionate, you'll hear sparks fly at points. But sparks aside, a lot of ground was covered in what was a really substantive debate. Also, a reminder: the choice between traditional and self-funded is situational. If you've listened to even just a few Acquiring Minds episodes, you know that each searcher comes to this adventure with their own very particular aspirations, financial resources, networks, etc. So while Greg and Robert are both convincing guys, you have to apply what each of them say to your unique goals, your unique situation. And with that said, enjoy the debate.
