This maybe by design, but as an early step I'd like to start building out a contact list of business brokers in GA. I am finding this harder than I imagined. Does anyone have any tips or even better a list to share?

The International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and Georgia Business Brokers Association would be good starting points if you want to build your own list. See https://www.ibba.org/state/georgia/ and https://gabb.org/brokers/nikkicline/. If you want a ready-made list, search the Searchfunder archives; I recall one of the deal aggregator sites offering a broker list for free. If you want larger transactions, you can also add members from the Association for Corporate Growth, the Alliance of M&A Advisors, and M&A Source.

Remember brokers work for the seller. Best way to get on a distribution list of sellside advisors is looking at actual deals. They build their list from past deal inquires.
