Sharing an interesting pre-seed healthcare infrastructure opportunity on behalf of a founder I recently spent time with. Company is building an AI-native + FHIR-native specialty EMR and native RCM platform, initially focused on ophthalmology with broader specialty expansion planned over time. A few highlights: Raising on a SAFE @ $7.75M post-money cap 1 paid pilot locked in 5 signed LOIs 20+ additional interested practices in pipeline Founder is a practicing specialist physician with deep workflow/domain expertise Former ONC/HTI certification leadership involved Architecture built around HTI-5 interoperability + native RCM workflows from day one Slated for the first phases of ONC certification within the next month, after which the company will be listed on the CHPL website as an official Health IT vendor What I found compelling: Native RCM layer (not just ambient AI or note-taking) Infrastructure/workflow approach vs AI wrapper Potential long-term resemblance to the vertical healthcare software playbook executed by previous EHR companies, but with modern architecture from inception Clearly very early-stage and high execution risk, but interesting asymmetric upside if they successfully expand across specialties and become a broader outpatient workflow platform. I’m personally participating in the round and happy to make introductions privately to investors interested in healthcare IT, vertical SaaS, interoperability infrastructure, or AI-enabled workflow software. DM if interested and I can make the introduction with the founder.
