I ran across this website where a lot of SaaS companies are up for sale. We used to call these things "aqua-hires" because at BigSoftwareCo I worked at, we buy em and the purchase was peanuts considering the talent and some code bits that could be features in our main products.

I have nothing to do with this site. It just is a fascinating site which may catalyst some ideas for you or, who knows, you pick-up a little software company grab some interns to help code it and off you go.

I’ve looked at a couple of deals from the site (I know Andrew, the guy who started it). Most companies are small and aren’t experienced in buying or selling a business, so it can be challenging. Everyone seems open to offers\advice and are genuinely interested in selling, getting to a realist price can be tough, but you should be able to identify those early on. The majority of deals are side projects with small customer bases, if any. I’ve found the good deals are becoming more competitive as more folks discover the site.

overall, if you’re interested in SaaS it could be a place to find add ons. Andrew is hustling hard to get better/bigger companies in the platform, so it could become a source for larger acquisitions.

As some of comments mentioned above its a growing website with some interesting companies, from the few companies I have spoken with most are side projects or lifestyle businesses and do not have the sales & marketing skills to scale the businesses. The main issue I have found is the astronomical valuations places on businesses with little or no revenue.
