Thanks for the tag ^redacted‌. I did a ROBS and it was/is a PITA with a lot of ongoing admin and restrictions. I used Guidant and though they are helpful, they ain’t cheap. Other issue is that you have to buy back the appreciated shares from your C-corp (even though $$$ goes back to your IRA and there are potential tax benefits on sale if done correctly). I’d consider it a near to last resort. Good luck.

I caution you from doing a ROBS for an acquisition. You're better off raising outside capital if you can manage it right. The ongoing costs of maintaining a ROBS is not ideal.
