Navigating some tricky board dynamics. Does anyone have stories or advice to share about how to get the most from the board? Seeking thoughts in two areas: 1- meeting mechanics: how have you successfully encouraged your board to be punctual, to do pre-reads/think outside a meeting, and to weigh in on key decisions? 2- actionable insights: how have you encouraged your board to add value? Any input is appreciated!

if you need to 'encourage' board to be punctual here is what you first do: 1. fire yourself - because you are a nervous low quality CEO who can hire lower quality board members. instead of finding faults in board look at yourself and you will step up and hence you will hire quality people
