Hi there,

I was chatting with a barber in London and he said implants are becoming more common and affordable. He noted many people go outside of London for these procedures. I am wondering does any one have any insight to hair implant services ?

Interesting - know a few people who went the transplant route in the US in their late 20s/early 30s. YMMV but they're all continuing to bald, so I'm not sure if it was a hereditary thing for the other hair or if it was more about hormonal blockers, etc.

I know that there are some detailed studies / anecdotal tries in the subreddit Tressless https://www.reddit.com/r/tressless/

Otherwise, a company that works on the male hormonal side is Maximus (based in Los Angeles) that is trying to get levels back to where they were in the mid 1990s for Testosterone / Growth Hormone /others naturally.

If you're speaking about reversing/fixing balding / thinning of hair in general, PRP microneedling or treatments around the laser tech combination of those is worth looking into.

EDIT to clarify: Those guys had a regrowth of their head of hair until 3-5+ years passed and genetics/hormones/whatever factors caught up and they have since thinned again (or continued?). It wasn't that it looked poor - looked awesome until it wasn't again (I forget the number but 'noticeable' is 50% coverage or whatever, where it's much farther than initially thought).

Friend of mine is 48, has completed transplants very recently (last 4 months.) He thinks it's all in the recovery plan but so far hair is coming in strong and he's thrilled by it.
