Anybody in Texas doing a Traditional Search and willing to chat?

I'm a first year McCombs MBA looking to raise a traditional search fund post-MBA. I interned with a traditional search fund this past spring/summer and looking to continue to learn as much as possible from other searchers about search tactics, fundraising strategies, and overall advice.

^redacted‌ I tried to raise a solo traditional search fund in '19 after completing my MBA and was unsuccessful in completing my search round. I'm sure you're looking to chat with traditional searchers of all levels of progression (closed with no acquisition, closed and operating, exited), but I wanted to offer to chat about my experience. The traditional search fund pathway has exploded in popularity in the last 2-3 years and with other major factors affecting the supply of traditional search dollars, the possibility of sharing my fate and not having your search funded is a growing one. I also continued to learn and speak with other searchers and ETA professionals, and I've found that a self-funded search, although a necessity for me, may be a much better pathway. Davis- We are entrepreneurs in Houston that invest in Search Funds. Since we have built and sold several B2B service companies in Texas, we have a great network here. We see a lot of businesses from Brokers/Bankers that we know that would be great targets for search. We have been investing in entrepreneurs in Texas since 2012., shortly after we sold our first company.
