Anyone else working on an Aging Population M&A thesis?

So much opportunity. Baby Boomers:

- Own 52% of the net wealth in the U.S,

- Are retiring at a 6.2% rate per year

- Are living 16 years longer than their parents

Strikes me that nursing homes, in-home nursing, home retrofitting, and senior tourism could be incredibly attractive M&A targets for years to come.

Anyone running a business in the space or have a thesis they'd like to share? I'm all in on the Silver Tsunami!

Thank you for sharing! We are also looking in that space in Germany. In addition to your list, the following segments could also be interesting: tele-medicine, pharmaceuticals for age-related diseases, functional food for seniors, in-home assistance (e.g., starlifts)

We've worked with a couple of clients who were pursuing this thesis. Two areas I thought were interesting were travel companions for seniors and IT services for elderly. I have a friend who launches adult day care centers and then sells them to PE.
