Have a couple of companies im looking to finance. I have noticed one of the requirements appears to be to have visa and be residing within the USA . While I am looking to migrate to the USA, I would be doing so under a E2 Visa. Which takes around 6 months to process, however i need to acquire the company before making an application. Does anyone know of any non SBA loans that do not have these restrictions, would it be simply family offices?

My thought is that this is an uphill climb, regardless of the state in the US. From my experience, I have observed that they (lenders) prefer the relative safety of SBA loans, which foreign nationals are not eligible for. Best bet for foreign nationals lacking 100% equity, is to find a way to become operating partners , IMHO.

Yeah oaky, so two options ideally, family office funds or seller finance. - You can ofcourse do other things like trusts deeds, option agreements, phantom equity, POA. - Better to avoid these though unless you really needs cheaper finance, and you will not be able to say on paper you have 51% stake for E2 application.
