I just executed an LOI on an ice cream manufacturer / distributor based in Southern California and am getting kickstarted on the due diligence process. An area of opportunity for the business is to enter the frozen foods section of stores with box packs whereas today they only distribute single wrapped popsicles.

I'm covered on the investment front and have some great advisors in place for branding, marketing and operations. But it would be ideal to have someone with connections and expertise in the frozen foods or food & beverage wholesale distribution space. The goal would be to get into some of the larger chains and big box stores. Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks!

Congrats on scoring the LOI. If your transaction is over $1M in EV, you and your counter party should plan to secure insurance on the transaction. An RWI policy will transfer most of the financial risk away from the deal parties so you can focus on closing and then integration and execution. The cost is minimal and can be shared. If you're open to it, please ping me at redacted I look forward to your response.

I ran a small ice cream company way back. Frozen Food section is most expensive part of supermarket to be in - it has the lease amount of space. Be prepared to pay significant slotting fees to get the shelf space. Best wishes....love the vertical....very fun!!
