The Stanford 2020 Search Fund observations has a table on p26 showing ~80 companies with IRRs over 25%. Anyone know if these companies (or even a subset) are listed anywhere online? We like the idea of hearing more stories of what worked, and the value creation strategies deployed by acquirers.

I am sorry we cannot share more detail in the Stanford study. We have a strict confidentiality policy and only report aggregate data. Due to the sensitivity of the data we collect this is essential to ensure that searchers will participate.

We are always evaluating different ways to analyze the data and other metrics that could be useful to both searchers and investors in identifying what makes a successful deal. We hope to include some more data in the 2022 study.

Thank you both, and makes sense. Appreciate the link Luke, and looking forward to the 2022 study Sara!
