Anyone have experience acquiring with a large fleet of trucks/cars/tankers? How do you go about that process? Pros cons? Things to look out for?

I’d get the entire fleet register (make, model, year, mileage) and find out weighted avg age of fleet and is it within my benchmark (<6 years for instance) How much have they been spending on capex pas 3 years including vehicles What’s the maintenance program (in house mechanic or outsourced) Is then get commercial auto loss runs past 5 years, flag any big claims. Also ask about premium increases I’d look at whether they have a gps tracking software (hard breaking, speeding, location of vehicle) Driver license runs and ensuring all clean records Id ask about gas program and gas cards if any (eg so people aren’t filling up persons tank, getting discounted pricing etc) Where are they storing fleet and is it safe and secure That’s where I’d start
