Noticing quite a few auto repair businesses for sale in the SoCal area. Many are 30+ year businesses (with real estate) and retiring owners generating $200K to $400K SDE. Seems like roll-up potential for 4-6 shops along SoCal coast from Ventura, through LA and OC, down to San Diego specializing in higher income German and British imports as well as RV and diesel (lots of RVs and trucks here), maybe add EV later. Have an experienced mechanic to partner with.

Appreciate any feedback from those with direct experience acquiring and/or operating auto repair shops. Also would like to get a feel for investor interest in this space and why or why not.

Thanks community!

Thanks Andy. Sorry to hear business is down. There is a relatively large shop (15K sq ft) for sale near me that specializes in Rovers, Jags and other Euro cars and also has a few 21ft lifts for RVs and Sprinters. Sounds like a good shop and looks really clean. What questions would you ask seller?
