Anyone have experience with online marketplaces? (Acquire, Flippa, etc)

Hi all,

After a bit of a break back in corporate job land, I've gotten re-interested in acquiring small businesses. Having worked in tech most of my career, I'm exploring businesses I could run from my laptop: SaaS, e-commerce, mobile apps, etc.

Do any of you have any experience acquiring companies through online marketplaces like Acquire, Empire Flippers, and Flippa? I'd love to pick your brain over zoom! Very curious how your diligence and acquisition processes may have differed using these marketplaces compared to a traditional business broker or direct search.

Don't expect anything you can't easily find elsewhere without paying for it. Keep in mind buyer competition when you use resources where everybody else is shopping. Use the search command on SF to see what other people have said about this over the years. Good luck!
