I'm looking at a pet store that sells pet supplies (85% of revenue) and grooming services (15% of revenue). Looking to connect with anyone that has experience in this industry. Thanks

While I am familiar with the animal health space, there is quite a bit of challenges moving forward. Investors are less interested in B2C led businesses here with a retail / non-repeat aspect. While spend on animals continues to increase - shoppers are becoming increasingly reliant on online providers. Now if you were mostly grooming with some retail, I would feel better about the deal. Look to see if you can also expand into day-care / boarding with the business. Areas where larger incumbent players like Petsmart, Chewy, Amazon might win out are viewed unfavorably. That said, if the store carries very niche (I call them pet woke) brands - there is a differentiated story, that creates serious customer loyalty. If there is site concentration, think about a delivery service as well. Also look at the D2C model - I give my dog Ollie. It is similar to farmers dog.

When I launched my company, I did a demo for a client who wanted to do doggy daycare in the North Austin area. Happy to send you over that sample report to see if there is anything in it of value to you.
