Just wanted to see if anyone is using AI tools specifically for sourcing, and how they find the effectiveness of the tool. AI seems to have the potential to save a ton of time here and be more effective; just not sure if these tools are the real deal (yet).

^redacted‌ We default AI-first for all work processes. For sourcing, our experience has been that the major LLMs and wrappers alike provide the appearance of increased productivity (faster copy, lists, scraping etc), but actual results prove otherwise for most (not all) use cases. Especially for UMS/LMM and above, retiring owners are presently bombarded with inquiries (direct and indirect) and AI generated content is the first to get discarded if it hits the inbox at all (spamageddon is here - get tight on DMARC/SPF/DKIM). Owners are sharp. There are also material generational communication preferences at play here. Run your own tests, track your time.

Related, we are testing some proprietary methods of sourcing, let me know if you want to test it out with us. Absolutely no promises.

Yes, it's brilliant. Keep working on prompting better. Just ask Grok 3 to pretend it is your small business broker, and to find 3-5 small business in your area ripe for sale. Add specifications, such as healthy cash flow, real estate assets (or none), to exclude certain types of businesses (restaurants, for example), and to also include listing, broker, and contact information. Make sure to check the links that Grok used to gather its information.
