Is anyone using AI for an initial screening of CIM’s and financials? If so, which provider do you use? Also, how do you go about potential confidentiality issues due to NDA’s?

The challenge with generic AI (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for CIM and financial screening is threefold. - First, context window limits, a real data room has###-###-#### + documents and you can't upload them all simultaneously and get reliable cross-document analysis. - Second, no persistent memory, every session starts fresh, so you're re-explaining the deal each time. - Third and most critically, data privacy, when you paste a seller's financials into a consumer AI tool, you have very limited control over how that data is used or stored, which creates real NDA exposure. For actual diligence work, we built a solution that handles the full data room as a project, ingesting and extracting relevant KPIs, running cross-document reconciliation (P&L vs tax returns vs bank deposits), flagging contradictions automatically, and keeping all documents isolated per deal with zero training data usage. Happy to share more specifics if useful.

Yes, I have tried it, threw int Gemini and asked to fill back a form based on my criteria, few of them work amazingly well, few are bad formats.
