Hi ^redacted‌ - nice to meet you. Recently worked on a deal in this sector and others in the past - happy to share some insights: Route density drives profits, not volume. Tight, local routes lower fuel, labor, and truck costs and are far more valuable than spread-out customers. This is why tuck-in acquisitions are so common. Transfer stations create hidden pricing power. Owning or controlling access to a transfer station lowers haul distance and tip fees. Permits are hard to get, which limits competition and protects margins. Contracts and regulation support pricing. Municipal and commercial contracts often include CPI or fuel escalators and multi-year terms, creating stable, inflation-protected revenue. For waste businesses, environmental liability is a gating issue. SBA lenders are required to confirm that there is no unresolved or potential environmental exposure tied to permits, transfer stations, yards, or disposal relationships. We have a lot experience financing waste companies via the SBA. If you ever need help talking through a deal, I am happy to help. We work with all the major SBA lenders. The bank pay us after your loan closes, so this is a 100% free service for you.You can email me directly at redacted or schedule a meeting with me: https://cal.com/francodeguzman/30min. Look forward to chatting!
