Approach to fairs and industry events?

Hi all. I'm a new searcher that just started looking for targets in the iberia region. I've started to attend industry events and fairs and had mixed results so far. What are your opinions for a searcher looking to network and connect with potential targets via industry events? Would be great to hear your approach, what has worked or not, or even if industry events are worth the time and money at all. Thanks!

An example: - Use AI to collect data on events in your area for certain timeframe - Scrape data of speakers and attendees - Initiate personalized discussions on social media or other channels mentioning the future event you are both going to attend - Keep it informal and without agenda This accomplishes two things: First, it gives you insights on the type of speakers/attendees that will participate in the event so you actually know if it is worth attending Second, if the event is a fit, then you have layed the groundwork for better communications once there. You can get guidance on how to set up this system strategically and technically, but this is a snapshot of how I would maximise chances of getting value of the event channel. Curious: What is the main challenge that you are facing with events right now?
