Searchfunders -

I've had this question on my mind for sometime now.

We do our very best to make sure that every good post on Searchfunder gets a few good responses. We tag based primarily based on comment history and profile settings, i.e. where you live, search criteria, etc.

Our goal is to make sure each post is seen by those members in our community that are in the best position to make a helpful comment. Tagged posts tend to get about 5 times the engagement of non-tagged posts. So from my perspective, it's very effective at accomplishing this goal.

Everyday I receive notes of appreciation, from both posters and commenters alike. Occasionally I receive complaints.

So my question to the Searchfunder Community is this: are admin tags good for Searchfunder?

Please provide your personal experience in the comments. The more detailed, the better.

With Best Wishes,

^redacted

I was getting a lot tags sending me to look at items, which resulted in a few too many emails, so I had to change my settings to aggregate them once a week instead of on-demand. They are probably useful, but I don't know if that's the inadvertent impact you want. I think it has pros and cons.

As a poster, I appreciate the tags! It engages key people who I would love to hear from!
