I am very interested in working at a Private Equity firm in the future. I understand that the norm is to work in Investment Banking for 1-2 years and then to work at a Private Equity firm afterwards, but are Searchfund internships great to have on your resume, or a great way to gain experience if you are interested in working at a Private Equity firm?

Hi Raúl. Maybe it's not the most traditional path, but it's a possible one. After our search, one of our undergrad interns went on to work as an Analyst at a PE firm. But I'd say, if you do an internship in a search fund, do so because you're interested in it. There're probably better/faster ways to get into PE.

Hi Raul, Fernando - one follow-up question: What are the biggest differences between internship in PE vs. SF in terms of daily tasks?
