Hi, I am looking for tools that can help make reviewing CIMs more efficient - whether that’s summarizing key points, creating insightful slides, building basic financial models, or generating visualizations. I’m aware of V7 and Mosaic, but curious if there are other options that people have found useful. Thank you!

The most helpful tool I've used is ETA IQ (www.etaiq.com) - not AI at all, but they have a built-in financial model specific for Searchers / SMB acquisitions. I use it to quickly pressure-test deals and see if they pencil out based on my criteria. Prior to that, I tried experimenting with a bunch of different LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc)... I've actually found that they're not very great with numbers (the frequency of errors and inaccuracies were quite high).

I understand the desire to want to automate the process, I myself review all CIMs. I feel it is part of the process of trying to fully understand the business. I can understand if your deal flow is large and you are looking at multiple different CIMs a week but that is not the situation I am in. As some others have mentioned, I could see the best use as feeding certain criteria to filter deals that don't fit your thesis however I still feel you need to personally review the CIMs so nothing is missed as AI is not the end all be all.
