Asteria Air: Raising Capital for a New US Regional Airline Startup

If you previously messaged me, shoot me another message again too) I’m raising capital for Asteria Air, a new regional airline I’m building out of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This is a startup that will be doing rollups & acquisitions later. Asteria Air’s goal is straightforward: bring back fast, reliable service between Midwest and Great Lakes cities where the big airlines have cut back, and make flying clearly better than driving. We’ll start with a single turboprop type (The Dash 8-Q400) and a focused network, and we’re also building our own core software (AsteriaAtlas) so Asteria can run with one tight, modern system instead of the usual patchwork of airline vendors, with that software becoming an asset we can later sell to other operators and those in the industry. Long‑term, we plan to grow Asteria Air beyond the Midwest into Florida and other key US regions where this playbook works, using the same aircraft type, software stack, and operating standards as we expand our software. We also plan to pursue aviation-related rollups and launch additional airline-related divisions to create other revenue streams. We are currently raising funds for our Seed Round. Capital will be used to pursue our operating certification with the US DOT/FAA, invest in branding, marketing, and sales, hire and train the core team, build the tech we need to run the airline well, and potentially fund our first aircraft acquisition. Later rounds will focus on additional aircraft and network expansion before and after launch.
