ATM routes - has anyone bought or have experience with?

I am an NYC-based searcher. While I am searching for an "actual" business to purchase an operate, I've come across some ATM routes for sale by experienced brokers.

Obviously, I have the usual concerns (we're shifting to a cashless economy, it's not a business that scales very easily, etc.) but all the same, it seems like a business with the potential for steady secondary cash flow. Does anyone have experience buying or operating a route? Would love to buy you a virtual coffee and learning more.
