I have talked to a few awesome people on here looking to do rollups in auto repair, but I haven't come across some who have actually done this in practice. Anyone who has experience in this arena available to connect?

Hi Ray, Great to connect. I've worked on a number of acquisitions in the auto repair space. They're popular targets since they provide essential services that, for now, are difficult to replace with AI. That said, there are a few risks to be aware of: Owner dependence – Shops doing under $1 million in revenue often rely heavily on the owner, either for sales or hands-on repair work. Cash-based operations – Many shops take a significant amount of cash and underreport revenue to reduce taxes. Because of this, actual revenue is often higher than what appears on tax returns or financial statements. Banks won't finance for the portion that is not in the FS or tax returns. Competitive risk – If a new shop opens nearby, it can have an immediate impact on sales. Let me know if you'd like help evaluating a specific opportunity. Happy to support however I can.
