I just came across this really awesome tool that the SBA came out with last year called Lender Match. https://www.sba.gov/lendermatch

Its a free online referral tool that connects you with SBA-approved lenders around the country. I completed the form and 10 minutes later, 8 different banks reached out to me asking for more info.

Without question, the best tool I've used for debt capital sourcing yet.

Depending on whether or not you are self-funding your search, it may benefit you to take the extra time to segment SBA preferred lenders by volume (total amount and loans approved). Even with those inbound tools, you can still waste days talking to BDOs with no signing authority who when push comes to shove will not be able to get your deal done. Some banks are much more aggressive than others in terms of underwriting deals with little or no assets/collateral. It is incumbent upon us to put in the work to find them. It is also important to qualify lenders for the sector you're in. It may take rolling up your sleeves and making some extra calls, but I've found this site incredibly useful in finding solid financing sources:

Check out DebtMaven.com as another source for middle market debt financing. They have over 400 lenders on their platform and 200 borrowers. They were founded by Jordan Selleck who also founded EliteMeet which is a not for profit that connects business leaders with Military Special Operations types who are entering the private sector. I am currently a veteran in residence working for DebtMaven as I prepare to launch my own search.
