Hi all,

Would anyone have experiences or be open to sharing your thoughts on best practices to find a partner to do a self-funded search together?

For example, any best practices to navigate introduction conversations, questions to ask or processes to go through to figure out whether the person has aligned values, and best other practices for such introduction meetings and subsequent follow-ups?

Thank you!

Want to give some perspective from my experience. I have considered partnering with other searchers, but ultimately decided against it. Given that the journey spans over 5+ years, I prefer not to make such a long-term commitment with someone I haven't worked with before. However, I have seen a unique approach where a searcher began solo and later partnered. Instead of committing to a partner search from the start, they initiated individual solo searches while maintaining regular communication to understand each other's work processes. Eventually, they decided to pool their resources and form a partnership based on this experience.
