Best practices in finding proprietary deal flow

We are working on getting more proprietary dealflow and wondering on best practices in finding more targets! Currently methods used are: Googling, Linkedin Sales Nav, Listings (e.g. Capterra), long lists from Orbis or Crunchbase, custom made softwares for this purpose like Inven.ai or Grata.

With what methods have you had most success or what would you recommend for this kind of work?

With searchers using the same tools and similar spaces, it’s becoming difficult to rely on these tools as your primary deal flow agent. I don’t think anyone is going to share their sauce on searchfunder, but targeting micro industries is probably a good start.instead of a broad stroke like diagnostic labs, maybe drilling down into home-based specialty testing, but have a very long running list of micro industries in the same supply chain that you can do a search on
