Hi all,

When trying to raise capital for the search, what sort of outreach has resulted in the most success? Emails, phone calls, or a bit of both?

I have heard that conferences are a good way to start conversations with investors as well, but given the current environment, I have no idea when the next one may be.

Thanks!

LinkedIn + E-mail. My observaton: as most investors have something to do besides investing in search funds, I found the highest response rate for emails/invitations sent between Friday afternoon and Sunday midday. Also, be persistent and if there is no answer, repeat the contact at least 2-3 times at weekly intervals.

I have found luck meeting individuals while at events or through introductions. Finding investors organically has been a great source of the investor base I currently have. However, to more directly reach investors, I would recommend emailing to then set up a face-to-face or zoom meeting.
