As I searched for acquisition opportunities through my search fund, I kept seeing the same thing: Time and again, I saw business owners lose value — either by going to market without unlocking their company’s full potential, or by chasing inflated valuations that collapsed in diligence. In both cases, brokers profited without delivering real, lasting results. That’s why we built EAI Capital — to bring real strategy and value creation to the blue-collar exit process. We’re not traditional brokers. We don’t chase quick commissions. Instead, we help owners increase what their business is worth before they sell — using proprietary AI, operational deep dives, and hands-on execution to drive value where it matters most. Our mission is simple: → Leverage technology and experience to create value → Improve performance. Increase valuation. → Help owners exit on their terms for maximum value If you’re a service-based business owner thinking about selling — or an investor interested in how we’re doing things differently — I’d love to connect. Anyone have done any deals in NZ? I was talking to a banker there and the multiple for businesses seems oddly low. i.e. She mentioned she's working on funding a Software company. Seasoned owners looking to retire. She mentioned that was quite standard. Seems like it a small country, aging population but not much M&A activity there. 1M EBITDA for 3x.

Do you have a unique fee structure? I've thought about how that can be modified to provide better incentives for brokers.
