Biggest surprises after acquisition and Operator trainings / resources?

After a recent acquisition I am drinking from the firehose dealing with everything from Quickbooks, hiring, role definitions, employee unhappiness, customer complaints etc etc.
24h doesnt seem enough! What were your biggest gotchas as a first time operator and what helped you improve your skills quickly. AI is helping write up responses to customer complaints and business planning but what tools really helped you scale? And on that note, are there any resources, trainings, people etc that you swear by?
I loved Traction and EoS but havent been able to fully implement it yet.
