I've already read "HBR Guide to Buying a Small Business" and "Buy then Build", but I'm looking for more materials to continue learning about buying a business. Any recommendations on podcasts, books, or any other resources would be greatly appreciated.

I love listening to podcasts and learning. Other than just buying a business staying on top of subject matter as well as becoming aware of some prospects in a domain area you are interested in buying a business, has proved useful for me. With that said... some of the podcasts I find great are:

1) https://www.mascience.com/podcast
2) For the UK market - https://buyandbuild.co/category/episodes/
3) Ben Gilbert and David Rosenthal have an amazing podcast called "Acquired", but the episodes are very long. - https://www.acquired.fm/

Hope you enjoy!

If you’ve read HBR and BTB, then there’s really not much else you need to know. It’s basically all in there and additional research and education probably won’t move the needle for you. If you want to learn how to do this, you need to jump in and start taking action against the plans that those two books lay out. They are virtually identical. And it’s time to take action. Trust me - the scary part is what happens after you close the deal. That’s usually beyond the horizon of most novice planning. The buying part is easy compared to the ensuing 5 years of paying down the debt and making ends meet as a business owner. Jump in. Experience will teach you everything you need to know.
