Buy Vs Build (Business Leadership Coaching)

Looking at a coaching company with manageable owner dependency.

Have reviewed BVR redacted and Ibis redacted. Also received some good DD advice in previous post here: redacted

For those in the space, what are your thoughts on buy Vs build for coaching companies? Is it possible to become certified and scale up relatively quickly without the previous brand and book of Business or is this really valuable and worth the costs of buying versus building?

Contracts are in place and seem solid. Your point about IP echos another insight shared with me by an industry veteran. Their perspective is that top-echelon coaching is 1:1 and can be supported by systems... but ultimately is based on the coach navigating the relationship -so, "pick good coaches" becomes the IP. As far as niche, totally agree -a moat can be industry-specific knowledge.

These businesses are very owner dependent usually. If "attractive character" driven even more so (think Grant Cardone, Patrick Bet-David, Tony Robbins. etc)
