Can you prevent Axial from showing you deals that are marketed elsewhere?

Simply put, I want to avoid seeing deals on Axial that I could see directly on broker sites. For example there are tons of Generational Equity deals on Axial, and my understanding is that by reviewing the CIMs via Axial I'm signing up to pay their buyer fee. Please let me know if there are any solutions to this!

Yes, you can contact them and they can add additional filters on their side, I had them do it for me. I don't think there is a simple filter to get rid of all public listings but you can have them add filters for all of the brokers you normally already check directly with. I told their sales team that I purposely avoided opening opportunities on Axial until I searched all of my normal sites first and had reached out on anything remotely similar to what I saw in Axial. Having them add filters on their side helped dramatically. They really need to change their success fee pricing structure to account for this.

^redacted‌ thanks for the tag. ^redacted‌ and ^redacted‌ - you are correct, we have blanket suppression and named suppression tools available. Approach #1: Use the suppression tools and block specific members by keyword. So ^redacted‌ you could add "Generational Equity" to your suppression list and you would no longer be visible to the entire Gen Equity team. That can have downside b/c some of deals and bankers at Gen Equity do not list on their own site, but that will solve your broker-specific blocking desire. You can do that for as many firms or individuals as you like. Approach #2: You can also block all "broker" deals on Axial. That is a feature accessible inside your Buyside Project filters. This will prevent any and all brokers from being able to discover and share deals with you via Axial. M&A advisors and investment bankers, who we categorize differently, will still be able to discover and share deals with you, but we will suppress your profile from all business brokers. You can always ping redacted and the support teams will help point you in the right direction on any best practices for using the platform. cc ^redacted‌ ^redacted
