Are folks aware of which Canadian banks offer financing / debt for tech SaaS companies that have low / breakeven / slightly negative EBITDA profiles? (And, if so, how expensive is the capital?) I know BDC has a program but I'm wondering who else has one. Any connections / contacts for these lenders would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Petros

Thanks for the tag ^redacted‌ Hi Petros, I am Laxmi, a senior relationship manager with RBC Commercial team. We have a dedicated team (RBC X) that support tech companies which are in growth stage and need capital for growth/working capital. Feel free to reach out with a brief overview at redacted , I would be happy to introduce you to relationship manager at RBC X.

CIBC has an innovation capital team they would look at tech but might require VC backing, RBCx is also one to look at, they would do tech as well. Banks don’t have high appetite for venture debt type risk, your other alternative might be to look at a specialty lender like Vistara Capital. Email me, I will make introductions to Vistara and CIBC, I might have a connection at RBCx as well.
