CEO / Experienced Operator

by an investor in Salt Lake City, UT, USA
We’re looking to partner with an experienced operator to take over and grow a pest control business we’re in the process of acquiring.
It’s a commercial-focused business doing ~$10m revenue / ~$2.0m EBITDA, based in the Chicago area. About 70% of revenue is contracted with low churn, and it’s grown steadily over the past 6 years. Core customers are property managers and multifamily groups.
The business is in good shape today. The opportunity is to build on a solid base and scale it into a larger platform. There are already a few tuck-in opportunities in discussion.
You’d step in as CEO at close and take full ownership of day-to-day operations - building better systems, clearer accountability, more consistency across the operation.
On the growth side, you’d be involved in expanding the customer base and helping integrate acquisitions over time. We’ll support on sourcing, capital, and execution, but this needs to be operator-led.
We’re a family office-style investor - flexible capital, no timelines, and we move quickly.
What we’re looking for is pretty straightforward:
Someone who has run a service business (or a meaningful piece of one)
Real P&L ownership at a multi-location or regional level
Comfortable managing field teams, routes, and day-to-day execution
Hands-on, practical, and focused on getting things done
Interested in building something over time
This isn’t a first-time CEO role. We’re looking for someone who’s been in it before and wants to do it with ownership.
Structure-wise, this is a CEO role with meaningful equity and a long-term partnership.
Role is based in the Chicago area.
If it sounds interesting, happy to connect.
