As we embark on our next phase of growth and fundraising, we are seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our expansion. The Role The CEO will be responsible for executing our roll-up strategy, driving operational excellence, and securing investor confidence. This is a hands-on leadership role for an executive who thrives in founder-led environments, understands private equity dynamics, and has successfully scaled businesses in fragmented markets. Key Responsibilities • Lead Heartwood Family’s fundraising efforts, working closely with investors and PE partners. • Oversee M&A strategy, identifying, acquiring, and integrating childcare businesses. • Drive operational efficiencies and implement best practices across acquired entities. • Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team to support rapid growth. • Serve as the face of the company, fostering relationships with founders, investors, and industry stakeholders. What We’re Looking For Private Equity Background: 6+ years in mid-market PE, investment banking, or relevant buy-side experience. Founder-Owned Business Experience: Proven track record working with and acquiring founder-led companies. Roll-Up / Multi-Site Expertise: Experience in fragmented markets, ideally in services, healthcare, education, or similar sectors. Fundraising & Investor Relations: Comfortable leading capital raises and engaging with institutional investors. Leadership & Vision: A hands-on leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of scaling a high-growth platform. Location: Based in Canada (Vancouver preferred) or open to relocation.
