I haven't heard about this particular site anywhere else, but at $300 it looks like a bargain compared to some of the NAIC and other resource pricing. Has anyone else tried it?

Insider tip:

You could also audit/enroll in a course at your local, large public university to access many research databases for $150/credit hour (or request alumnus access at your alma mater). You could also borrow access from an enrolled friend/relative or from one of your interns. Many provide access to several excellent databases.

My alma mater provides alumni free access to all of the library databases and subscriptions and as a doctoral student I have access to all of the resources of my current university as well. I have also used a relative's credentials to access the research library at their alma mater.

If you are on a super thin shoestring, don't forget to check out the public library databases of your nearest large metro area.

Also, a little research online will yield a healthy target universe for free though it takes a bit of time.

My personal experience with these expensive subscriptions, even D&B / Hoovers, is that much of the information is unreliable and must be cross-referenced online anyway.

I did end up using the service, alongside running an NAICS query. The uscompanies list seems to be duplicating SIC/NAICS effectively (so far as I could tell).
