For a new accounting and bookkeeping firm with huge added value, we are looking for a qualified CPA COO who will manage the day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience in similar roles and possesses high motivation and management skills Position Summary Key Responsibilities: Day-to-Day Operations 1. Client Service & Delivery Managemen tClient Experience: Act as the internal champion for client satisfaction. Monitor service delivery timelines and manage client feedback loops to ensure clients are consistently happy. Workload Coordination: Oversee the daily assignment and tracking of client work (tax, bookkeeping, etc.) to ensure deadlines are met and staff capacity is fully utilized. Quality Control: Establish and enforce standards for all client deliverables before final review, minimizing errors and partner corrections. 2. Workflow & Process Executio nSystem Uptime: Ensure all critical firm technology (practice management, security, software) is functional, integrated, and optimized for maximum staff productivity .Process Enforcement: Directly manage and enforce the use of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all staff, from client intake to file archiving. Administrative Oversight: Directly manage the administrative team, ensuring accurate and timely client billing, collections, and office organization. 3. Staff Management & Coordinatio nTeam Supervision: Directly manage and mentor all staff accountants and administrative personnel. Conduct regular check-ins and performance monitoring. Remote Team Management: Ensure seamless communication, workflow, and quality control between in-site and remote team members. Capacity Scheduling: Handle daily and weekly scheduling to balance staff workload and prevent burnout, particularly during peak seasons Required Qualification sActive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is strongly preferred Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on management experience in a CPA firm or similar professional services environment Demonstrated ability to manage daily operations, track workflows, and enforce process compliance. Proven track record of managing teams both in-site and remotely. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on operational consistency.
