I understand this topic might not be directly related to the group's primary focus, but I thought I'd ask in case there are any experts who could offer advice. I'm currently considering whether to invest in commercial real estate or continue purchasing residential rental properties. Would you be able to share your insights?

I would be happy to jump on a call to discuss this in more detail at any time. There are quite a few differences between commercial and residential real estate investing. Those differences can be many depending on the type of commercial property you are looking to acquire. You have everything from apartment buildings to office, retail, mixed-use, industrial, special-use, etc. The financing options are also extremely different for commercial properties than residential properties. It would be hard to cover it all in a post. If you would like to jump on a call to discuss, you can reach me here or directly at redacted

There are many differences btwn residential and commercial and differences exist within residential and commerical. Happy to chat as well. There will be differences as well based on your location. West coast will be different and the midwest or east coast. Another option if you were wanting to invest within real estate (as compared to debt or equity capital markets) though give up some control would be a real estate syndicate or something as vanilla such as a REIT.
