Looking for an existing ETA Mastermind group with searchers who have bought commercial construction companies. Alternatively, I would be happy to start one if one doesn't already exist. Any recommendations or interest?

For more detail, my company is a commercial mechanical insulation contractor, so we primarily work with large commercial HVAC and plumbing companies or General Contractors.

Thanks for the tag, Luke.

I have been an interim CFO and M&A Advisor for construction businesses and more broadly an accountant advising the industry for close to 20 years. There are certainly unique aspects that require attention when dealing with the construction industry. Licensing is likely the most commonly referenced as most trades require an active license and many times the owner/operator holds said license. General contractors is a specific niche that generally sees less M&A activity as at this level (for larger businesses that is) its all about the relationships with customers and subcontractors.
