Curious to hear from others who have had success doing consulting work or taking on operator roles while searching. What worked? What didn't?

I am currently consulting full-time. This has given me a much longer runway to find the right opportunities but does stretch my available time to be able to focus on finding deals. It has given me the confidence to be able to execute on a business as I'm increasingly helping business owners with a wide variety of challenges.

Thanks for the tag - my view is that search is a full time job. You can't really devote all the time needed to diligence seriously and engage with sellers and advisors if your attention during the day is elsewhere. Not to mention whatever else you might have going on in your life!
